Oven baked lamb chops with tzatziki

  • 8 large lamb chops
  • Dried rosemary
  • Salt to taste


  • 1 garlic clove
  • Half a lemon
  • 1 small lebanese cucumber or 15cm of a telegraph cucumber, grated
  • 130g pouch of Greek Yoghurt (e.g. this one)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Pinch salt


  • Salad ingredients – lettuce, tomato, cucumber
  • Chips – sweet potato or other


  1. Heat oven to 200 degrees celcius
  2. Place the lamb chops on a lined baking tray and sprinkle with salt and rosemary
  3. If you are having chips, place them on another lined baking tray and spray with oil
  4. Place the lamb tray at the top of the oven and the chips anywhere else and cook for 45 minutes
  5. While the lamb is cooking, crush 1 garlic into a small bowl and squeeze 1/2 lemon on top
  6. Mix with a spoon until combined
  7. Coarsely grate the cucumber and squeeze out excess water
  8. Add cucumber, 130g pouch of greek yoghurt, 1 tablespoon of olive oil  and a pinch of salt to the bowl
  9. Mix until well combined
  10. Prepare a side salad
  11. Serve the lamb chops with a heap of tzatziki with the salad and chipsIMG_0149
